These terms apply when you use voicesir.com, the BabaVoices web app and the BabaVoices browser extension (together, "BabaVoices"). BabaVoices is operated by In Portofino LLC, Houston, Texas ("we", "us"). By using BabaVoices you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
1. What BabaVoices is
BabaVoices turns speech into text using your browser's speech recognition, can clean that text up with an AI model ("Polish"), and can read text aloud. Results can contain mistakes. You are responsible for reading anything BabaVoices produces before you send, publish or rely on it.
2. Your account
You can use the free plan without an account. If you sign in, you're responsible for keeping access to your email account secure and for activity under your BabaVoices account. You must be at least 13 years old to use BabaVoices, and at least the age of majority where you live to buy a paid plan.
3. Your content
What you dictate, write or paste stays yours. You give us permission to process it only as needed to run BabaVoices for you, as described in the privacy policy. Don't use BabaVoices for anything illegal, to harass anyone, or to process information you don't have the right to share.
4. Acceptable use
Don't try to get around usage limits, automate requests to our servers, resell access, interfere with the service, or reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows. We may limit or suspend access that harms the service or other users.
5. Free plan and ads
The free plan is supported by advertising and includes daily usage limits shown in the app. We may change free-plan limits from time to time.
6. Paid plans
Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, at the price shown when you subscribe, and renew automatically until you cancel. Introductory prices apply only for the period stated, after which the regular price applies. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are not refundable, but if something went wrong, email us and we'll do what's fair.
7. Not for regulated or emergency use
BabaVoices is a general writing tool. It is not certified for medical, legal or other regulated records (including HIPAA), and must not be relied on in emergencies.
8. No warranty
BabaVoices is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that transcriptions, polished text or translations will be accurate.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of BabaVoices. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you haven't paid us anything.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll say so in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use BabaVoices after that means you accept the updated terms.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts in Harris County, Texas, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
